How you can help
Destiny Garden Primary School is a charity school dedicated to educating disadvantaged children in one of the
poorest suburbs of Mombasa. To do this it has to rely on support from the outside world and you can contribute to the future of the school by -
Sponsoring a child: You can sponsor a child for as little as £10 per month. ALL the money received for a child goes towards their education and food. See the Sponsor a Child link.
Volunteering: Jacob and his family will host volunteers who can stay from one week to six months. See the Volunteers link for more information.
Making a donation: If you can’t commit to a monthly sponsorship or to volunteering, you may choose to make a one-off donation.
If you live in the UK, your donations can be sent to the UK Charity ‘Destiny Children’ – please contact destinychildren@live.co.uk.
If you live outside the UK, please contact Jacob for details on how to make a payment.
‘Alternative’ Gifts: If you live in the UK, why not consider giving a present to a friend or one of your family in the form of a gift to Destiny Garden School. At present this scheme is set up in the UK but is shortly to be expanded to other countries.
Gifts can range from £5 which will provide a child with drinking water during the school year, to £60 which pays for a teacher’s salary for one month, to £120 which will pay for the education of a child for a year.
See this link for further details - Alternative Gifts.
